Cover shows a bird's eye view of some buildings at the Exposition. The interior is composed of three facades: the Electrical Building designed by Van Brunt and Howe; a pop-up of the Hall of Mines designed by S.S. Beman; a pop-up of the Wisconsin State Building; a pop-up the balustrade by the lagoon.

The World's Columbian Exposition, also known as the Chicago World’s Fair, was organized in celebration of the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s landing in America. The fairgrounds, open from May 1, 1893 until October 30, 1893, were designed by Frederick Law Olmstead and covered more than 630 acres in Jackson Park and the Midway Plaisance.
